Page Manager

Page Manager is one of the most important tools in Editor—it’s where you’ll organize your website, create new pages, update content, and manage your site’s navigation structure.

In This Article:

Understanding the Pages Menu

The Pages Menu is the core of Page Manager. It organizes all of your website pages into categories based on how they appear to visitors. Every website is different, but these are the most common categories:

  • Sitemap Pages

  • Secondary Navigation

  • Footer Quick Links

  • Marketing Landing Pages

You may see fewer categories, or even custom ones created just for your site. Here’s a breakdown of each.

Sitemap Pages

Sitemap Pages appear in your website’s main navigation bar (also known as your header navigation). These are typically your most-visited pages—like:

  • About Us

  • Our Staff

  • Contact

A good rule of thumb: If you want every visitor to easily find a page, it belongs in the Sitemap Pages section.

Containers (Nested Pages)

Some pages act as containers—they organize subpages beneath them, but don’t hold content themselves. You’ll see an arrow icon next to these.

Example:

Or here's an example that is three levels deep:

Click the arrows on the right side of each container to collapse or expand its contents.

You can also collapse/expand all containers in a section at once using the arrows at the top of the Sitemap Pages category.

Creating a New Page

To create a new page:

  1. Hover over the container or section where you want the new page.

  2. Click the plus (+) icon.

  3. Choose your page type.

  4. Enter a title and click Create Page.

Newly created pages start in Draft Mode, meaning they’re not visible on your live site until published. You can safely make changes and keep your page saved as a draft until you’re ready to publish.

Each page includes editable blocks dependent on the page type. For example, a text page will likely include:

  • Custom Page Settings: Site-specific options (like changing banner images)

  • Text Section: Powered by our

  • Dynamic Text Editor, which allows for custom layouts, headings, images, and more

Creating a Page Container

To organize your pages, you can also create page containers:

  1. Hover over the location where you want to add a container.

  2. Click the plus (+) icon.

  3. Choose Page Container.

  4. Enter a title and click Save Page.

You’ll remain in Page Manager since containers don’t have editable content themselves. You can now add pages underneath this new container.

You can also clone an existing page from this same menu if you want to reuse a layout.

Secondary Navigation

Secondary Navigation includes pages that are still important—but are usually relevant to a specific audience or purpose. A secondary navigation can also be used for main site pages that don't need to be quite as prominent as the pages in your primary navigation.

Examples:

  • Employee portal

  • Internal resources

  • Career opportunities

Secondary Navigation is often styled as smaller text above the header, a sidebar, or a hidden “expand” menu. It depends on your custom design.

How It Works:

  • You can add new pages to Secondary Navigation just like you would for Sitemap Pages.

  • Most secondary nav areas do not support nested containers, so you should only create single pages unless your design supports more.

Can’t find where to edit this section? It may be managed from the “Edit Items Appearing on All Pages” (Common Items) area. If you’re unsure, contact Cybernautic support.

Footer Quick Links are pages that appear in the footer of your website. These are often used for:

  • Privacy Policy

  • Technical Documentation

  • Accessibility Info

Like Secondary Navigation, this section usually only supports single pages—not nested containers.

If your site is older or was customized differently, footer links may be managed elsewhere (such as the "Edit Items Appearing on All Pages" (Common Items) area. When in doubt, reach out to support.

Marketing Landing Pages

These pages are typically designed for specific campaigns and won’t appear in your site’s main navigation. You might link to them from:

  • Emails

  • QR codes

  • Ads

  • Social media

You may also choose to create a page in this section that you intend to link users directly to from another page or other source. By default, Marketing Landing Pages are also hidden from search engines unless you choose to enable indexing (learn more about that page setting here).

You can create any page type or page containers in this section.

Summary

Here’s what you can do in Page Manager:

  • Organize your pages by category

  • Create and manage containers

  • Add, edit, and delete pages

  • Use draft mode to preview changes

  • Build flexible navigation structures
