We’ve had several customers receive official-looking letters or emails claiming that their domain name is expiring and urging them to “renew” or “transfer” it immediately. These are almost always phishing attempts—scams designed to trick you into transferring your domain to another provider (or worse, to a fraudster). 

DomainRegistry.com or DomainListings.com are both common sources of these spammy physical mailings.

Here’s what you need to know:

• We will never send you physical letters or shady emails asking you to renew or transfer your domain.

• When in doubt, just forward the message to our tech support team. We’re happy to verify it for you.
