Welcome to Cybernautic! Whether you’re a brand-new website owner or just exploring what Cybernautic has to offer, this article will give you an overview of the powerful editing platform behind your website—Editor.

Editor is your all-in-one place for managing and updating your website content. Whether you want to:

  • Add a new team member to your staff page

  • Highlight a new service

  • Upload images from a recent photoshoot

  • Check how your website is performing

  • Or simply write a new blog post

You can do it all with Editor.

We’ve created a full video series called Editor 101 to walk you through everything in more detail, but this article covers the highlights to get you started.

IN THIS ARTICLE:

Getting Started: Create Your Account

If this is your first time logging into Editor, follow these steps:

  1. Check your inbox for an email with the subject line:
    “Cybernautic Editor Welcome E-Mail”.
This was sent when your email was added to Editor.

  2. Click the link in the email that says:
“Click Here To Activate Your Account and Set A Password”.

  3. Create your password and click Activate Account.

  4. You should see a message that says:
    “Your account has been activated!”

Can’t find the email? Click here to contact Client Services and we’ll help get your account set up.

Page Manager

Once you log in, you’ll land on the Pages section—this is where you’ll manage the structure of your site and edit your page content.

How It Works:

  • Pages are grouped into categories (like Sitemap, Secondary Navigation, Footer Navigation & Marketing Landing Pages, etc.), which control where they appear on your site. Keep in mind, you may have all or only some of these sections in your website depending on the customizations specific to your site.

  • Clicking on any page will open the Editor interface, which is made up of blocks. Each block controls a different element or section of the page—for example: page settings, text areas, cycling banners, etc.

Editing Site-Wide Content (Common Items)

At the top of the Page Manager, you’ll see a special green-tinted page called: “Edit Items Appearing on All Pages.”

This is not a regular page—it’s a central hub for editing global content like:

  • Your logo

  • Social media links

  • Phone numbers

  • Contact forms

  • Announcement banners

  • Scrolling logos and more

Rule of thumb: If something appears on most pages of your site, the block to edit it will likely be found here.

File Manager

Click the Files icon in the top left of Editor to open the File Manager. Here, you can upload and manage:

  • Images

  • PDFs

  • Documents

  • Logos

  • Staff portraits

  • Folders of photos or reference material

You can upload files directly from a page—or here for broader access. The File Manager also includes:

  • Custom folder organization

  • Image editing tools (Crop, Transform, Filters)

  • Automatic image resizing and compression

Learn more in our File Manager video.

Notification Center

In the bottom right corner of Editor, you’ll see small pop-up messages confirming your actions. For example:

  • “Image uploaded successfully”

  • “Page saved”

  • “New block created”

This feature ensures you that your changes are being saved as you go, eliminating confusion over whether a change has taken place or an error has occurred.

Top Right Icons: Quick Tools

In the top right corner of Editor, you’ll see several icons:

SETTINGS

  • Manage general site settings

  • Add new user accounts directly—no support ticket needed
