Adding a button in a Dynamic Text area is easy! Follow the steps below to create, edit, and move a button on your page.
Adding a Button
- Place your cursor
Click inside the text area and place your cursor where you want your button to appear. - Type your button text
For example:Click Here
- Highlight the text
Use your mouse to highlight the text you just typed. - Apply the button style
In the toolbar at the top, open the Format menu.
Under Font Style, look for the Buttons tab.
Click the style you want to apply.
Note: Most sites will have at least a Primary Button and Secondary Button style available.
Watch how it’s done:
Once you select a style, your text will immediately turn into a button in the text area.
Moving Your Button Around
Because buttons are technically a special element, you’ll see a small crosshair drag handle appear when you hover over it.
Click and drag the button to move it between other content blocks in your text area.

Editing Your Button
To make changes to your button:
Click on the button to open the edit pop-up.
From here, you can:
Change the button text
Edit the link the button points to
On newer sites, change the button style using the Button Style dropdown
If you don’t see the Button Style dropdown, no worries! You can still update the button style by clicking into the button text and choosing a different style from the Format menu.
Deleting a Button
To delete your button:
- Click just to the right of the button (outside of the button text) and press your Delete key.
Tip: If your cursor is inside the button text, the system will think you want to delete individual characters instead of the entire button. Make sure your curso r is sitting outside the button before hitting delete.
