Using the Link Tool
Adding a hyperlink in the Dynamic Text Area works just like you’d expect in any text editor—highlight your text, click the chainlink icon, and choose the type of link you want to apply. Here’s a breakdown of your options:
Internal Link
Use this to link to another page on your website.
After clicking the chainlink icon, choose Internal, then select a page from the list of available site pages.
External Link
Use this to link to a different website.
Choose External, then paste in the full URL.
Tip: Make sure your link starts with https:// so it functions correctly.
Email Link
This option creates a link that opens the visitor’s default email app.
Choose Email and enter:
The email address
An optional subject line
An optional message body
When someone clicks the link, their email client will open with all the fields pre-filled.
Phone Number
Use this to create a tap-to-call link (especially helpful for mobile users).
Choose Phone Number and enter:
The phone number
Optional extension
Clicking the link will trigger a phone call on supported devices.
Link to a File
Want to link to a PDF or other document?
Choose File Manager, then browse your folders or upload a new file.
Once selected, the file will be linked to the highlighted text.
To Remove a Link
Just highlight the linked text, click the chainlink icon again, and select Remove Link.
Pro Tip: Only hyperlink relevant words or phrases–not entire paragraphs. It makes the experience cleaner and easier for your users.
