Online Payment Processing

Modified on Fri, 10 Oct at 3:10 PM

Cybernautic's built-in online payment processing tool makes it easy to collect payments and donations right on your website. Whether you're collecting service payments or recurring donations, this tool is powered by Stripe and designed for flexibility and ease of use.

On the Front End

Visitors to your site can:

  • Choose between one-time or recurring payments
  • Select or enter a custom amount
  • Fill in their contact and billing information
  • Enter their card details securely
  • Optionally cover the transaction fee (or, for service payments, you can choose to pass this on automatically)

After submitting the form, users stay on your website—they're not redirected to an external payment processor. Confirmation emails go out immediately to both the payer and your team.

Managing Payments in the Backend

To view and manage transactions:

  1. Open Editor and click into the page that houses your payment form.

  2. Scroll down to the form block.

There you will find:

  • A list of notification email recipients

  • An archive of all processed payments, filterable by month/year

  • A search field to find payments by name or email

To view details of a specific transaction:

  • Hover over the row and click the pencil icon to open the payment record.

  • Inside the record, you'll see:

    • Submitted contact info

    • Gross amount, transaction fee, and net amount received

    • Options to print the transaction or issue a refund directly from the screen

Configuring Your Payment Form Settings

Within the settings block of your form, you can configure:

  • Stripe API mode (Sandbox or Live)

Sandbox mode is for testing only and disables live payments.
  • Stripe receipt toggle (let Stripe send an additional receipt)

  • Confirmation email subject and content

    • Click the "Click Here to Edit" button to open the dynamic text area.

    • Tip: Watch our Editing Confirmation Emails video for best practices.

  • Success message shown after form submission, also edited in a dynamic text area.

  • Suggested payment amounts (number values only; add, sort, delete)

  • Disclaimer content (displays above the submit button)

  • Form validation messages (customize language for required fields, invalid emails, etc.)
